If you're a fan of RuriDragon, you'll probably like Cat got my tongue. Unlike the aforementioned series though, this story is about a catgirl, not a dragon girl, named Asami. Sure, she's not breathing fire or ice, but like Ruri, she does have to deal with being different from the others. Unlike Ruri, she's got a girlfriend to stick by her side through thick and thin. With humorous dialogue and memorable characters, this story is sure to be a delight, but only if you're fine with third person present tense.
While some might have no issues with this, if you're like me and aren't a big fan of third person present tense, reading this might become a bit frustrating at times. There are also chapters written in first person present tense, however, I feel those are actually some of the novel's highlights. While third person present tense isn't my cup of tea, I can tolerate first person present tense. I truly wish there were more of those chapters in the story as I'm not exaggerating when I say the third person present tense really bogged down my enjoyment while reading this. So much so that it cost the novel a star in the review. That being said, if you wished Ruri from RuriDragon was a catgirl seeking love, and you have no problem with all forms of present tense, this will probably be one of your favorites.
