The devastation of the first World War has led society to see the world from a different perspective. While the world is recovering from the pain of the war, Vorteil tried so hard to survive in a society that treated him poorly. He insisted that the world rejected him until he was destined to meet Belle who then changed his life forever.

However, the terror of the past seemed to haunt Vorteil which then involved Belle along their journey together. To escape from that terror, a promise was made by the two of them that they will be united until the end.

Will they be united as one in the end?
