After losing his corporate job as a middle manager, Peter is transported to the medieval, Balkan-like city of Zemliharos and mistaken as the Lord of the Land. His rule is short-lived, however, as a band of Strigas invade the city. Peter must now learn to master his newfound powers as a Krsnik, or monster hunter, and learn to lead and work alongside his newfound ragtag group of allies; a fledgling squire, a mischievous Tintilinić and a Striga who betrayed her people, lest he lose his newfound kingdom forever.
