To most people, Peter Lee is an average man with an average life. And for the most part, he's a little less average. But when he becomes a victim of what seems to be a terrorist attack, he is teleported into a different world for a reason he cannot understand yet.

To make matters more confusing, he is chosen by the Goddess of Blood to be her patron, receiving the ability to control blood. Although he can't do much with it yet, he'll be one of the strongest in the land with time - at least, according to her. But as a caveat, he can't tell anyone about it. Blood magic is forbidden, and revealing his powers would get him killed on sight in most places.

Stuck in the middle of nowhere, in a world he knows nothing about, with his life already at risk, he did the only thing he knew how to do: take a step forward. And with that step, his uncertain new life began.
