Synopsis

Ruu Akaru’s life ended long before his body did. Branded a monster by the world he once tried to protect, abandoned by justice, and broken beyond repair, he has nothing left but echoes of pain. He wished only for release — to forget, to vanish, to let his past rot in silence.

Fate granted his wish in the cruelest way.
Transported to another world, Ruu awakens stripped of every memory… save for a single name. He does not know where he came from, nor what sins brought him here. Yet the scars of a life forgotten linger deep within him, shaping choices he cannot explain.

So begins a journey of identity, self-discovery, and the rebirth of a soul that never wanted to be reborn. The irony remains: he once longed to forget it all, and now, without knowing why, he struggles to reclaim what was lost.

Echoes of the Exile is a story of deep trauma, fragile bonds, and the unending search for meaning — even when the past itself is a wound best left buried.

I’m trying to grab the judges’ attention. As you’ve seen, this chapter and the second chapter of my light novel deal with more psychological and traumatic themes, including the implication of sexual and physical violence. I have tried to present these elements as ambiguously as possible, keeping the details minimal to avoid NSFW content. However, I remain concerned. Does this fall under NSFW content? I hope to hear your answer soon, as I can make additional changes to ensure it is fully SFW if needed.
