Kusunoki Naoki, a college graduate and part-time worker, receives a message from his boss about a damaging social media post about him. Loud banging came from Naoki's apartment door as ran. After deciding to visit his parents to hide from the authorities, he takes the bullet train.
Exhausted, he fell asleep. Suddenly, he's in a dream. An elvish girl was with him though unconscious. He hears from the distance, “Once you are bound to this world, seek out the undying flame. Only then will you be saved." He bolted awake.
Unfortunately, he gets caught but manages to sprint away but gets hit by an oncoming train. When he came to, he's in a forest. Steel-cladded knights pursued pointy-eared people. Slavery, perhaps?
After getting away, he rests for a while. The bushes rustles and out comes a familiar face. The elvish girl in his dream is now in front of him, though, she doesn't seem pleased. She attacked him. At the mercy of the girl's sword, Naoki hopes that she does it quick and clean.
