The name's Kuroha. At 17, I was living my best worst life. I dropped out of school, work a dead-end food delivery job, and live in an apartment that's basically a health code violation.

It wasn't always this way. Two years ago, I had something resembling a normal life, thanks to my aunt Inorin. Then she disappeared along with twelve other developers while working on this game called Daikon. Yeah, that Daikon, the one authorities burn copies of on sight now.

So when some barefoot bimbo I was delivering chicken to slipped me a copy of that game, I probably should have reported it. But it was the last thing connecting me to Inorin, so I held onto it. And wouldn't you know, it ate me alive and spat me out inside its world.

The worst part? My only companion is a weirdly shaped penguin named Peng, who can roll, I guess?

Now I just need to survive long enough to discover what really happened to the only person who ever truly cared about me.
