Takashi Haruta thought the worst thing a phishing scam could do was drain his bank account. Instead, one misclick zaps him into a world eerily similar to Arcforge, the unreleased MMORPG he helped build years ago.

But this isn’t quite the game he knew. The land is colorless, the Demon Queen Yzara—the secret final boss—is out in the open and a total pushover, and now Takashi’s supposed to kill her before he can be sent back?!

Armed with an item that can debug the game world, Takashi teams up with Yzara to restore her power, with the promise that she can send him home. But he can’t find it in himself to trust an NPC programmed to kill him—that is, unless this world is way more real than he ever thought possible.
