In the distant future, a young man who goes by Narcolepsy78 (Narco) meets up with some of his friends he met online. After discovering a retro game from their formative years got a Deep Dive console remaster, they’re all eager to try it out. Things don’t go to plan however as they all get trapped inside the game. The party of Narco, GivFreeStuff (Free Stuff), FifthGambit (Gambit), and CensorshipGG (GG), must all try to escape this glitching prison of nostalgia, utilizing their knowledge of the game and its poor coding to their advantage. But something is off: the game’s story isn’t playing out like how they remembered.
I came up with this idea a long time ago, and was recently inspired to put it into writing. While many of the concepts have changed, the core concept remains the same. I wanted to take some of my fondest memories of breaking games and make a story out of it. A story where several characters just exploit the world in a way that people living in it couldn't understand.
