Akihiko is an average high school student with no ambitions on what he wants to do with his future.

But after saving a child from a traffic accident and losing his life in the process a mysterious voice recognizes his act of selfless kindness and offers him the chance to reincarnate in another world that desperately needs help. In exchange for helping this world, the voice offers him the chance to fix his one regret from his previous life.

He finds himself in a world where regular fantasy monsters like Orcs, Goblins and Dragons have human forms and live in peace with one another. However, the night and darkness of this world have been cursed, threatening to revert its citizens back into their monstrous forms, attacking everything in their sight as mindless beasts.
