Who better to save a fantasy world than one of the first men to catalog ours? Pliny The Elder and his friend, Senator Pomponianus, are whisked away from the roar of Mt Vesuvius to a strange world that is both wondrous, yet somehow strangely familiar to them. With no cheat items save for the help of their family gods, their newfound companions, and decades of Roman Administration, Military, and Academic knowledge they will fulfill their commission to the goddess who begged them to save this world. But what threat could even deathless gods fear?
