Would give this 4.95 if I could!
This novel was made with a clear love for Romans, their customs and culture. The premise of two romans whisked away to a fantasy land (post-hero) is intriguing as it is funny as their culture clashes with traditional fantasy tropes. There the pair rebuilds their society with the help of elves they encounter, and it was interesting seeing how they adopt roman traditions and technology. The pragmatic solutions used instead of magic or overpowered skills keeps the story grounded and I found myself very invested when the second arc came around.
Only very minor gripes was that I wished the first arc was like 1 or 2 chapters shorter, I feel it does rely a bit on having knowledge of roman history/mythos to be thoroughly enjoyed, and while it does end satisfyingly with the current arc, it left me wanting for more! 👍
