Minecraft continued to prosper far into 2080. The simple PC game kept to its roots, slowing down updates, keeping things small, but the biggest change they allowed was its implementation of Mental VR, where people could transfer their consciousness into the game, slowing down their perception of time so days in games would last to them 24 hours, but in the real world, only around an hour would pass. On the date of 09/17/2082, the world came to an abrupt end. In a flash, the world and its inhabitants vanished, but for the lucky 5000+ inside the Minecraft server 'Tinkers creation' survived. Now the game felt more real; they could feel pain, new items and races appeared along with magic, and when they died, they weren't logged out like normal. They were just gone, never respawned, never came back.
