“Hired as a Ghostwriter for an Enigmatic Heir” is a story that begins with innocence that is corrupted with trauma, guilt and vengeance.
Our MC Airi begins her journey looking to heal from a trauma she can’t fully recall, only to be thrown headfirst into the murky waters of a past remembered through the eyes of another.
This story starts slow but I promise you pays off in dividends when you get at least a quarter of the way into the story. After that the author begins to pull the strings and you start to question your own perception when little things you didn’t notice before, become incredibly important later on.
The only thing that keeps this story from a full five stars for me is the slow beginning. If you are more partial to thrillers and mysteries it’s going to read like a typical romance. But for those who are into that, you’ll like the beginning and will be right at home.
This a solid romance with elements of a thriller and a dash of psychological horror—with a climax that will keep you from putting it down, followed by an ending that makes you want to go back to read what you might have overlooked.
This is a solid story and I would highly recommend it.
