In the new capital of Edo, they are just two unassuming travelers, passing as humans. But they soon find they need to remain vigilant.
In Asakusa, monsters lurk in the shadows of the Sensoji temple - human and supernatural alike. Nearby, in the pleasure district of Yoshiwara, oiran and other inhabitants of the night entertain those that seek their company.

Most seek pleasure.
Some seek the arts.
All seek an escape.

When strange murders begin to occur in the district, Yuame and Kaoru find themselves already in the clutches of the city, unable to leave it all behind like they did before…
