Mattathias, a young incubus, has always hated the way his family and neighbors were treated by the Vampires that lorded over them. However, since he was born, he was always raised with the expectation that he would serve as the bodyguard for the princess of the Vampire castle.
Rosaline, the daughter of the most prominent Vampire of their country, has no interest in violence but is subjected to it regularly through her father’s punishments. As the disposable female heir of the castle, her time is spent following the rules and laying low; that is until Mattathias begins his employment and changes her daily life with his justice-focused hatred of her family.
Will Mattathias be the one to finally save Rosaline from the castle or will he be the one to finish her and her family off?
