Sugiyama Nori is a pain-in-the-ass project manager who treats life as a series of checkboxes. Getting drunk one night led him to join a local tabletop RPG group where he found himself playing as Leon, a young mage with shitty stats, alongside a party of strangers who are as dysfunctional as he is.

And here's Okino Midori, a cheerful, lovable doormat whose gameplay strategy is to double down and roleplay to overcome her real-world... doormatness. After a "peace offering" in the form of a café latte from a vending machine, Okino is convinced of one thing: Sugiyama might be the one.

So, when the game master eventually drops a high-stakes, dangerous quest that forces everyone to stick even closer together, both of them must realize... Is it still their characters talking, or is it just them for real?
