Ishikura Azusa is seventeen, moderately functional, and living in the long shadow of an older sister admitted to a prestigious school "-5 billion years ago" — which the school maintains was intentional. She has a poker face, a lot of opinions, and an internal monologue running at four hundred percent capacity.
Then there's Sugihara Yuta. He fixes broken things. He says exactly what he means. He has, on multiple occasions, said something so straightforward it caused a full system reboot.
He is not doing this on purpose.
That's the problem.
As Usual, Ishikura Can't Tell The Time is a romantic comedy about two people paying very close attention — and arriving at completely different conclusions.
One of them is handling it fine.
The other one is Azusa.
