Seventeen-year-old Cain has already buried his real name under a dead boy’s papers when the thing that bought him before birth arrives to finish the sale. A licensed mender who cannot leave the dying alone and a shieldbearer content with warm rooms walk with him after he answers that collector with a second bargain instead of a plea. He hunts the people that broke his family while Ministry Wardens and a kingdom still hungry for his hanging tighten around his road for redemption.

Cover is still placeholder but made thru Canva. Sword is from pngtree.com. My goal is still to commission a cover art for this even if the contest ends.
