Sworn to the service of storm god Perkaus, Taran Barak-sonu lives only for battle and glory.

Until the day a three-headed serpent shatters his warband on a mountain.

Left for dead, a three-legged raven pulls him back from the brink and bestows strange gifts upon him.

Taran's duty is clear. He must return to the city of Verdwer to warn his people. But monsters roam the wilds, the raven has her own plans, and Perkaus himself may not be pleased to see him.

Taran went up the mountain as a Godsworn. Coming back down, he will become something stranger—and far more terrible.
