In the town of Malojin, Riley is an elite combat prodigy and owns the Ice Conduct; one of the 10 elements of the original Ultimatus. He is driven by a fierce vow to protect his younger sister, Atina, an eighteen-year-old stricken with severe PTSD from a childhood tragedy.

That peace ends when the Blood Crows, a ruthless assassin syndicate led by the tyrant Zar, invade to slaughter the high nobles in their town. Riley draws his ice blade and charges into a dangerous battle to protect those nobles; only for his task to fail. Driven by vengeance, Riley goes to confront Zar. A huge, fatal mistake.
