When Sato Kaito discovers his true potential as a computer programmer, he doesn't do as most fifteen year olds his age would to be sure he succeeds in an industry now packed with opportunity and almost daily advancement. Realizing the truth behind the industry he once aspired to join, Sato drops out of high school following his freshman year, seeks to bring collateral damage to the infamous HI-FREQ telecommunications device network, and use the money he generates from Exploit Xx()xX to release the entire population of the Ryukyu Islands from the control of the sinister "provisional government of the Citadel" located in Tokyo, 490 years in the future. The government, humiliated by his use of such a deep-rooted exploit, immediately patch the bug used and commit genocide against the entire Islander population with the few survivors, including Sato, being captured, chained down and made slaves of the state in an endless stream of digital persecution...
