Celestia is in her village, practicing with a sword to gain compliments. Her father, mistaking her drive for fame as motivation for improvement, decides to offer to take the family on a trip. They enjoy their nice long trip, until suddenly they are attacked. Everything is resolved quickly, but Celestia's father is injured. As he brushes off the injury, Celestia can think of only one thing, “I wish I could help.”

Elsewhere in time, Hibiki Endou, a 23 year old boy is walking around a luminescent city on Earth, cursing his life. When he walks into an alleyway, his whole life is suddenly flipped around as he gets stabbed. Waking up in a place far different from his own, he can only wonder where he is. Being seen as suspicious by the locals, he is swiftly captured.
