Revelations

Humans lived a long time believing what they know to be true, shaping their reality only by their hands except for a few people who have been misfortune enough to realize otherwise.
One of those misfortunate people is Max Whaite, he lost his family to a supernatural cause when he was just 9 years old and was given a chance by the grim reaper to get them back. Not knowing how or where to start he waited 16 long years until an opportunity presented itself and he cashed in on it with everything he got.

This is my first time writing a novel, and I haven't actually read many before, so any corrections and tips are welcomed.
