In another universe, there is a world where fairytales live amongst themselves in a peaceful world. The "good" fairytales live in protected villages with riches and luxury, while the "bad" fairytales are outcasted in swamps or vast nowhere-lands. The "bad" fairytales saw this to be unfair, so they conjured up a potion that would kill all the "good" fairytales as payback for the years of injustice. However, the creatures grew into strong, acid-like beings that would murder any living being in sight and turn beings that were strong and powerful into monsters as well. All their humanity was lost, and they became known as the Corrupted.
