Some words used in this short story are nautical terms such as "Watchman", a personel on duty aboard a ship that watches the ship and it's surroundings be it on a port or anchored at sea and they are accompanied by a partner but this time the watchman is on a small ship so they only needed one person to watch the ship in rotation with other personel. "Bridge", a superstructure located at the utmost part of the ship where all the commands for a ship are in place. "Starboard side", a nautical term used for indicating the right side of a ship.
