Tokyo, 2035. As regional wars spread across the globe, all eyes are set on the conflict tearing apart the nation ahead of the latest technological revolution. On one hand, the brand-new UNSMF, aka “Sentinels,” seeks to bring order to the chaotic city, while the terrorist organization known as Amaterasu feeds on it to alter the system.

Amid this scenario, 17-year-old student Kazuto Sugiyama struggles with grief over his parents’ death following Amaterasu’s latest attack and his desire to fight injustice. At the same time, Saori Yoshimura, a classmate of his, faces PTSD symptoms after she cracked under pressure during the incident and failed to live up to her standards.

When their paths intersect, their wills are tested like never before as the fate of the citizens of Tokyo suddenly lies in their hands. Will they move on to leave their pasts behind and save the day, or will they succumb to their fears and surrender their future to those who want to unleash hell on the world?
