It's not 1983 anymore...
James Peterson, assigned to the Japanese Self Defense Forces in 1983, survives the destruction of his transport only to find himself hurled into the future Japan of the year 2123. There, he joins the crew of the exploration vessel Mistral Challenger on its first voyage.
The mission: investigate the emergence of multiple realities that threaten the Earth itself.
The Challengers: an elite pilot, ultra-tech android, electronics genius, far-future shinobi girl, and the primitive warrior from 1983.
Can they overcome lethal spider drones, massive cyborg super-soldiers, and the private militaries of hostile megacorporations, then still defeat all the challenges a shattered Earth can throw at them?
And even if they do -- can they survive the shocking betrayal by one of their own?

I plan on publishing new chapters every Monday and Friday.
Warning: violence; intense battle scenes; some blood (no gore); romance (to balance out the violence, intense battle scenes, and blood).
This story pays homage to some of the 1980's anime, especially the original Orguss and Bubble Gum Crisis.
I enjoyed making the cover so much I also plan on uploading the spine and back cover, complete with a cheesy 80's style back-cover blurb. :)
NOTE: The cover image shows Rio Akayama, one of the characters in the story. Although I made a few modifications, Rio's image was actually taken from a royalty-free clipart library. If you know who the artist is can you please tell me in the comments below? Thanks!
