Soon after technology exceeded the human capacity of understanding, a new organization dominated the world by enforcing laws to segregate a human-android society and manipulating control of all its networks of function.

This led to triggering a war among many countries of the world. 2 years following the universal war, a new high-tech system was implemented in Japan to invade any foreign attacks called "World XS". In spite of that, there were a few zones which were unaffected by this system for unknown reasons. One of them being Lane Fivehundred.

A world amidst a progressive-war period deemed inconvenient in the eyes of a boy named Haise, will begin unveiling itself as he encounters a strange man on an inexplicable, blue day.
