I always wondered—why do isekai protagonists just accept their fate so easily? If someone told me I had to die to go to another world, my answer would be no. That’s why I wrote Owen the way I did—someone who questions everything. Also, it feels like the isekai boom has slowed down. Most big titles are years old, and nothing new has shaken up the genre. Maybe I am wrong. So instead of following the usual formula, I wanted to explore why someone would even consider leaving their world in the first place.
