Lots of charming scenes in this chapter, but IMO it’s weighed down by the excessive expletives. I’m all for slamming in a cuss or ten in dialogue, but I feel “fuck” or “fucking” really loses impact after being used this much.
This story is a hidden gem. I’ve read up to chapter 11 or so and I thus far I love the strong characterization and world building. I especially adore how our titular main character isn’t the big fish in the pond and that we get to see this incredibly threatening world from his flawed, puny perspective. Definitely earned my follow!

The scene-setting is top notch and the diction is really neat-- I had to look up "nexal" and now I'm definitely going to steal it for my next writing project. The vivid imagery does a lot to create a livable, believably unbelievable world, and I look forward to seeing what kind of shenanigans will ensue in it!
