I agree with BluePheasant here, definitely not a bad start but definitely felt like a bit much for the first chapter. I am, however, still looking forward to reading more as I happen to like this sort of genre.

The concept of this novel is very interesting. This novel kind of reminds me of the anime, Beastars, how in this chapter all the animals and monsters are in a school, but with relationships and interactions that are very human-esque. The chapter was very well-written and the opening hooked me into the story almost immediately. Well done.
