Don't think that others should consider you to be right and adjust for you if you're not considering that they may be right and you don't show the willingness to change.
No matter the past, no matter the experiences you had. Do not ruin relations with the absence of balance. Do not ruin relations with the absence of communication. Do not ruin relations because you can't hear a "don't". LISTEN and TALK. Find a balance because if someone you had a fair opinion of before the argument says something's wrong. Consider that it is, and find a balance in your behavior and actions. Ultimately that balance might show you the reasoning and bring you or them to understanding. The understanding of the person who was truly right shall reveal itself through the balance.
