So that's where all the brains of this team were. Good bees! I almost laughed out loud when the one referred to Elysia as the "Short and Loud one" - is there really any better way to describe her? Their other descriptions were spot on, too, and I especially love how fond they are of the way Apis cares for them. Very good bees, indeed.
What a ride this was! The characters were all so colorful and thoroughly enjoyable even when in the wrong. There is a very, very small part of me that's sad Duran never got to use the Abyssal Blade, but the rest of me knows damn well that's for the best.
Other than the fact that living in a country with a culture built around bug worship sounds totally hellish, I liked the world a lot, too! It was old-timey but didn't feel outdated like many other portrayals of modern traditionalism.
I tried really hard not to predict plot points and still got thrown for a loop almost every time. Similarly, many of the Sidequests felt unnecessary at the time they were published, so it was exciting to see everything come together. And all with consistent comedy, too! I'm still not over the fact that Elysia's idea of a punishment was an audit. Death and taxes, amirite?
You have a great grip on your craft. I look forward to seeing more of it. ❤️
