Yea I won't lie, it is easy to mask it up with this being the future and all (I'd like to think this may be the case... also the gov in this story is trying to stop the pursuit of this career path as a human.) But most of the time it is me riffing off my assumptions of what an 'idol' might be in the future. So far, a lot of western understandings of entertainment, which is not good on my part.

It's like a more fancy comma in some areas, where you really want the following words to emulate how we often talk in real life - like we are struggling to get the words out. We are flawed computers who cannot compile what we need to say all at once, so we spit them out in the middle of a sentence. It also helps as a way to create drama and a way to keep the reader on their toes.
