Yeah, we could say the cover is a mirror of my soul (and my problems >:/) haha.
I also had the chance to read your first chapter, and I love the way you write—it feels so smooth. I hope I can follow it regularly. We're both a bit short on time, hehe.
As you mentioned, I'm trying to balance progression and depth in the world, but it's a real challenge to develop secondary characters and action without sacrificing too much valuable space.
I hope we can both find a way to maximize the story and our imagination!
