Yes. Your right. But look at it from a magical perspective. Hina tells them that only a higher, being (herself) in this case can manipulate the time of a lesser (the water). That higher being would need to exist at a higher plane of existence than that of the lesser to even influence time as Hina demonstrates by drinking the water. That also means that the lesser shouldn't know that their time has been manipulated, so why does Hina and her group remember the future?
Basically just as hina manipulated the water.
A higher being can manipulate the world.
