Great, I read it again and i got the chapter you were talking about her transforming into "something new".
I have a theory that the headless hosts stopped hunting in Greyhollow due to respect of Eirelyn's sacrifice or maybe they were bound by a sort of "Dullahan word bond" or something. Hey, I'm just spitballing here.
I said this in one of your other story i commented on. I like the engagement. what do you think of my theory?

the ending is really up for intepretation but i choose to think that Eirelyn is still watching over the (no name MC).

Freaking incredible. I thought the woman/mother was going to be the Patient Zero, you got me on that one. I just didn't think of the baby, like at all even after you mentioned she was pregnant a few times. And those descriptions, I agree with the comments, horrific. You're trying to give me nightmares or something.
I'm curious how this whole story will unfold, like you said this is the first book. Good work, keep it up
