My apologies again for the late upload. I just had a bad flu and had a hard time writing a single chapter but I guess I made it out alive (lol).

I'll try to upload more often when I feel better or if ideas start to rain down on my head in rapid successions.

Hello, I'm back from the dead. We just finished our research defense, and we made it out successfully.

Hmm, I can't safely say that I'm out of that mental block but there are few ideas how to move the plot forward. Although the scene was 'plain' and 'overused' especially in J-dramas or K-dramas, I still find it utterly convincing that I can finally build something by starting at this point.

Kaede and Shiori are finally walking forward, at least.

So...here goes Volume 4.5!

I mean, I'm just familiarizing myself with the plot once more so like I'm making a side volume which tackles the daily lives of characters of my story for now.

It's part of the main timeline, though I'm not sure if this moves the plot forward at all. Consider everything as side stories that might come out as comic relief, before we land in the main story after this.

I already had Volume 5 started, so like I'm trying to keep the original writing style (far distinct from monologous ass in my other stories) and trimming everything to finally get off the slow burn romance stuff and get to the real deal right away (like what really happened to Haruki's parents and/or what really are his upbringings in his past) so for now, imma take this opportunity to write everything while relaxing (school sucks)

Actually, you're right, the story is just probably at the 'setting the stage' process where prior events and characters are introduced. I was just probably confused at the moment because I haven't mapped out the entire premise/set of characters as well. But soon as I do, I'll make sure that this story will be as interesting as the ones I wrote before. :)

Writer's block is a shitass phenomenon so you might find this chapter a bit confusing and weird in a sense, but I'll try to improve the next ones once I got over the hump.

I honestly had a hard time writing this chapter because I wanted to make this monologue-centric rather than dialogue-centric novel. But given to complexity of both, I think I'll just balance it out (or reduce it completely) just like in my previous novels or I'll just run out of words before I could even reach the 5th chapter, lol.
