Yeah, Alex seems villainous in this chapter. Or maybe he is. I believe he has his own pain too, just as you said there’s more to him. But he didn't want to let go of that pain. As the story progresses, I wonder how we'll feel about him.

I don't think you're misjudging anything if you picked up the clue from the previous chapter. It might be shocking to know about the cause of Uncle Khalid's death. How do you still see Alex? What mysteries do you perceive going on beneath the surface for now?

I always feel sad whenever I reread this chapter, and I'm glad you feel that way too. Now, that was the mystery: who called Stacy? Steven was fine that day, listening to music and even moving to the rhythm of the song. So, who could it possibly be?🤔

I'm glad for the insightful feedback. You're right; I'll edit that part out. It's great to feel the tension in the chapter. I'm just trying to find a perfect schedule for my story updates, so just read it as it comes. I'm also going to update a chapter today as well.
