Her costume-making skills are really going to come in handy! Honestly, the amount of reading about sewing machines I've had to do to prep... mine is an old bernina (60? years old) and i've hurt myself a few times because older machines don't have the failsafes that newer ones do. Thankfully no electrocution though!

The rewrite seems to be slower paced than the old version, and I personally like the slow pace more. You've managed to keep the story interesting while spending more time between major plot points - which gives you time to expand on the world and characters. The merchants get their own personalities and, to put it simply, more interesting stuff happens. All in all, the pacing is good!
