im not a native speaker so all the jargon is a little overwhelming to me but thats to be expected.
-"they are all plausibly legal and sperate states."
ig states means statements? havent heard it shortened like this before. but as i said probably just me.
-"She didnt take out four life insureance policies or something like that, just 15 Million dollars of coverage for everything."
So its not life insurances? then what are the states they previously talked about when now its one singular coverage for what i assume is her shop? how does the life insurance fit into this since her husband being gone is the main plot.
-The holdings company being villains.
I was under the impression that a holdings company are investors. So they buy and hold shares they seem undervalued or assume will appreciate over time. I can see how they could use their stake to shut businesses down but im not deep enough into finances to know if a holdings can make enough profits that shutting down businesses becomes their signature and if it was insider trading the irs would be on their asses immediatly.
Lastly the chief comment on marjorie.
Calling her an idiot parasite, citing her involvement in a completely seperate case and calling her by her full legal name all seem like odd statments to make. I get he wants to seem sympathetic to isabelle here but how he does it just stirkes me as odd here.
Again besides the last one im unsure if its my understanding/lack of knowledge failing me here or not but since you asked those are the passages that i found difficult to digest.
Hope this helps 🙏
