What a way to end it... the entire battle between Akiko and the emperor was super stressful, and in the end that sinister ruler got too overconfident and got what was coming to him. That ending will stick with me the most though, the fact that Keiko and Masako go home without knowing Akiko is alive is SUPER PAINFUL. And Akiko choosing to stay and not even saying goodbye to them hurts EVEN MORE. Yeah, I understand why she did it, losing her parents would make it not worth going back to a normal life... but I feel like she could have at least tried it for a little while and live with either of her friends. Though I respect her choice, she deserves a much happier life after what this entire story had put her through. I just wish she could have said goodbye... And I feel like they would understand. At least maybe in the future, they can run into her again with the usage of those crystals, I truly hope they will... What a story.
