I swear I didn't read this chapter before making my comment on the previous one. 
Props to Akio for saving the day. Miyo should've at least bought him a drink from a vending machine after all that. 
Now I'm starting to wonder whether Akio will eventually fall for Miyo while helping her get together with Shinichi, or if he already has feelings for her and that's why he's helping her. It would be pretty counterintuitive if it's the latter, but maybe it's some kind of strategy to make her realize that Shinichi isn't right for her.
