We reached the resolution we were hoping for: the present is just as powerful as the past—memories define us, but they don't always show us the way. Good for Elora for appreciating what she has now instead of letting herself get swept up in the past. Felix’s final scene was badass; now it’s time to run—AAAAAA.

Blood magic—certainly, for an elf whose life is eternal, or at least *very* long, it was a price to pay for power. What a tragedy, being unable to do anything to save one's people in their hour of need. We’ve already seen the first encounter with the Felix of the past. I wonder if the character will let go of that memory for the greater good, or come to understand that people change and sometimes we can't cling to a past version of someone. It’s a message that’s somewhat hard to accept, but certainly realistic. In any case, a good chapter.

Phew, I didn't expect the price to wake up to be so high. I don't know what Elora might give up, or even if she’d be willing to do it. Part of me wishes she would just leave her memories behind forever—forget the old Felix and start over, walking away from him. But I know this isn't that kind of melancholy story. Still, the way I see it, the price for waking up ought to be something hard to overcome—something that leaves a lasting mark on the future.

Miasma... When I read that part, I couldn't help but be reminded of the *Re:Zero* arc in the caves leading up to the Sanctuary. On another note, Elora fell victim to the sleep too—NOOOOOOOO! I hope they wake her up soon. Her dynamic with Kite is fun; they bicker a lot xD. Oof, smells like a love triangle.

Felix recalled his old moves and—if only for a moment—unleashed his former strength as a Hero to save the day. I knew Moon was going to join in! Seeing Felix riding the beast at high speed with his axe in hand reminded me of Karl Franz from Warhammer Fantasy. AAAAAAAA.
