Hey! This was so good that I thought I'd comment. And wow, this writing is really good. I really like Andrew's final talk with Hope. In general, I think the difference between cliched corniness and something that comes off as heartfelt is the intent more or less. Their final chat, with Hope bringing up her dreams for their future, could've been something really hackneyed and corny. But it felt sincere when I read it, which is good. I think the scene beforehand where he finishes off the Demon King and keeps attacking him really sold me on it.
One thing that confused me a little was the goddess sending him back to earth when he mentioned he was fine going to the afterlife. I guess she took his mention of "I don't care what happens to me" in such a way that let her do what she wanted.
I'd like to think it was a bit of payback for that bit of disrespect at the end there :P
