Well, that was a wild ride. Forgetting the past was a theme followed through the whole novel, and realistically, Emiko's only real anchors were Daiki and the wagon. I think the realization of what she now has gained and choosing it over the past proves how much more she's grown and developed, changed from clinging to a past. Just the level of attachment to Daiki alone pinpoints how hard of a decision this must have been, but with a final climax she makes her choice. Solid one, good job!
