So good to see Karin back with her fam. They're all sweethearts, but I have to admit Xi'er has my heart lol. Again, very cool choice to make Aka just one of the team and not the leader. Focusing a story on mars instead of the moon, as it were.

The band's back together! They have such a natural chemistry and affection for one another, you can really believe they were fighting together for years. This is such a good refresher after the last two fairly heavy chapters.

Not for nothing, but I really do love the magic system here. Everything has a fun name and an effect that isn't super obvious. It's not just off-the-shelf fireballs and healing auras and I appreciate it.

Love being able to follow the fight between Aka and Rose; I have problems with a lot of action scenes being too confusing for me. Kudos for making it feel like these two have a long history despite us not seeing much of the rest of Aka's old team over the chapters.

Karin's philosophy on food is so true. All my faves are old struggle meals. Karin is so lovable, not only because of her good heart and sense of what's right, but also because she's just a regular goofball, too. She really gets fleshed out over the chapters and you can feel that secret ingredient that comes with a character being a beloved OC and not a vehicle for plot.

The shadiness of Karin's manager is so similar to bad bosses I've had in the past (and the author, too, I'm sure). It's details like that that really make this pop. Love Aka detailing what wearing the magical gear feels like. That would be such a headrush!
