Chapter 672: Molten Rock

Author's Comment: It was another long unannounced hiatus. However, I did write some chapters during it. In other news, this story is now 10 years old as of last month. Sheesh, I feel old.

Chapter 672: Molten Rock

Narrator: After hearing Gravo’s story, Lavana is ready to finish her battle against him!

Lavana charges her magic and jumps up and forward until she is directly above Gravo. She unleashes a barrage of lava balls down at him. However, he sinks into the ground before they hit him, leaving behind small chunks of his rock body behind.

Lavana smiles confidently as she lands back on the ground and thinks to herself. (“That’s exactly what I wanted you to do.”)

Lavana begins loudly shouting as she raises up her arms with lava forming on them. “Here! Have some of this!” She thrusts her hands and arms down into the ground and starts continuously releasing lava into it. “You’re tough but you are not going to be able to survive underground with lava flowing through the entire underground area!”

Suddenly, Gravo emerges from the ground with his boulder body being broken into by the lava. He quickly jumps up and merges into one of the upper pathways and comes out on top with a fresh rock body. He looks down at Lavana and speaks with a serious yet relieved tone. “That was close. Impressive strategy but it won’t help you up here.”

Lavana removes her arms from the ground and looks up at Gravo. She still smiles confidently. “I’m not done yet.” She raises her arms up and lava geysers begin shooting up and hitting the walkway above, partially destroying it while making the rest of it unstable.

Gravo grits his teeth as he jumps back to a more stable part of the walkway. “I won’t be overcome by your lava.”

Lavana continues to raise her arms as she shouts, “Let’s see how true that is! I can do this all day!”

More lava geysers shoot upwards and destroy more and more of the upper walkways, causing Gravo to have to continuously jump to other walkways. Gravo thinks to himself. (“I have to counter! I can’t let her destroy all of these upper paths!”) He escapes into a rock wall, leaving behind some chunks of his rock body.

Lavana ceases her geysers and looks around. She thinks to herself. (“Where will he be coming from this time?”)

Boulders begin launching out from different walls throughout the room. Lavana opens her eyes wide as she thinks to herself in panic. (“There’s too many!”) She unleashes a lava geyser directly beneath her feet that raises her up high in the room, allowing her to completely avoid the boulders heading directly at her. She jumps off the geyser and lands on one of the upper pathways.

Gravo emerges from the ground of the pathway at point-blank range behind her. Lavana does not have enough time to react as Gravo punches her in the back to knock her forward until she hits the wall. Rather than going back into the pathway’s floor, Gravo launches himself directly at her. When Gravo reaches Lavana, he pounds her in the face, causing some blood to flow out from her nose. Her whole body is smashed into the rock wall. However, with lava-covered hands, Lavana grabs ahold of Gravo’s body. She grins with a high confidence. “I was hoping you would do that.”

Lavana rolls her whole body back to slam Gravo into the wall, allowing her to get off the wall. She begins shouting. “Here, have some more!” She blasts lava continuously out from her hands and arms, completely engulfing Gravo in the wall. She smirks with confidence. “So, how is it?”

She stops releasing lava and takes a step back while still confidently smirking. Suddenly, Gravo launches out from the lava, heavily damaged from the lava with some still covering his body. He pounds Lavana with his fist, knocking her back but she still lands on the same upper pathway.

Gravo screams as he continues rushing toward Lavana. “I won’t fail Lord Ronzic!!!”

Lavana quickly stands up and emits Lava all over her whole body and then hardens it. She also begins rushing toward Gravo. “Sorry, but this battle is over!”

Once they get close to each other they both try to punch each other. Lavana barely avoids while Gravo’s punch while she thrusts her fist into the middle of his body. When her fist lands, her entire lava armor blasts off her body directly into Gravo’s body. The blasts of hardened armor combined with her fist shatter Gravo’s rock body. All of the pieces of his body fall from the upper pathway down to the bottom where some lava is seeping out. His pieces sink into the body.

With a calm yet victorious tone, Lavana speak. “I am the victor in this battle. Have a nice day.” She looks up at the ceiling of the room while grasping something in her pocket. She speaks with a serious tone. “Now, I just need to wait for the signal. Once that is happens, the rebellion can begin. Just hang tight everyone.”

Narrator: Lavana prevails against Gravo! She now awaits the signal to begin her part of the rebellion!
