Chapter 371:

Four-way frenzy

En Passant Grandmaster

As the night continued onward, so too did the festivities.

"Oh, that's it for team Vietnam. Team United States has won the bout!" D.R. Passant declared.

Meisa sighed as she turned to face her team. Alongside her were her mother and sister, Phạm Thị Yua and Phạm Thị Yuzuna, as well as her friend and rival, Hồ Thị Phuoc and Đoàn Mihn. Yua was originally born in Japan, but immigrated to Vietnam where she married and had Meisa and Yuzuna. All were good at chess, leading to them making the national team, but in this bout, they were no match for the American team, which now had the strength of Kuon.

"This was reckless, girls," Yua sighed.

"Relax, it'll be fine," Yuzuna smirked as she put her arms over her head.

Then the trap door opened and all 5 members of team Vietnam were plunged into the blueberry juice before being sucked through the room and spat out into the kiddie pool, sticky and blue.

"EW! MY HAIR!" Mihn cried as she tried to wring out her now blue hair.

"Hey, blue looks better than red, though I think Meisa and co looked better with pink hair," Phuoc frowned.

"Yeah, all blue is just too much," Meisa frowned as she gazed at herself via her phone.

Back on the 6B platform, Agatha smirked as she gazed down at her handiwork.

"Um, like, why did you make us do that?" Katie scowled.

"Practice. I wanted a good warmup before we go for it in the DJ jackpot," Agatha replied with a malicious smile plastered upon her face.

"Well hate to rain on your parade, but this next DJ challenge is the last one before the final match of the night," D.R. Passant frowned.

Agatha's smile slowly began to fade. "Um, joking-"

"Cooldown rule."

And with that, it was all glares on Agatha from her teammates.

"You just HAD to have us fight now. Couldn't wait a match!?" Elenora fumed.

"I- I didn't know they were going to shut it down so soon!" Agatha protested.

"Well, like, serves you right," Katie huffed as she and Sherbert made their way back to the dance floor.

Kuon meanwhile was indifferent to the matter at hand. All that mattered to her was facing one person. "Hagemi, we're close in the standings. I can't wait to be the one to "save" you," she thought as she gazed down at a certain woman.

Once Elenora had dragged a kicking and screaming Agatha away, D.R. Passant went ahead and announced the final DJ challenge of the night. To end it all off, there was nothing more fitting than a team free-for-all 4-way chess match. And the teams competing were to be Australia, Sweden, Bulgaria, and Montenegro's women's teams. However, there was one problem.

"Ugh, come on, you four. We gotta get to the stage," a girl with tied up blonde hair pleaded as she tried to drag her four teammates up out of their seats.

Three girls with nearly identical faces, but radically different hairstyles all pouted in unison. "Don't wanna. Too much work."

These three were Montenegro's Baćović triplets, Miku, Morfydd, and Buddug. Despite the Welsh and Japanese names, all three were born to Montenegrin parents and had their names chosen simply because their parents thought they sounded cool. While the three were biological triplets, they weren't identical triplets as while their faces were nearly identical, they all had different colored eyes from one another. They also had different hairstyles with Buddug having long blonde hair that partially obscured her eyes, Morfydd having a multicolored bob that mostly obscured her eyes, and Miku having long pinkish hair that obscured her left eye. It was worth noting that both Miku and Buddug had each been born with their respective hair colors while Morfydd had been born with pink hair, but dyed it an assortment of blue and red.

As for the blonde-haired woman trying desperately to get the triplets off their asses, her name was Mirjana Majić, Montenegro's top female chess player as well as the personal servant of the country's leader, Ilyana Gvozdenović. Speaking of said person, she was the remaining member of the Montenegrin women's team.

With her messy cyan hair and casual attire consisting of a loose bra top, short shorts, and flipflops, it was obvious she wasn't the most active or motivated person, making many question how she got elected to be Montenegro's leader. The only certainties about her were that she was lazy and she was good at chess. The triplets were also good at chess, but only if you could get them to the board.

At the end of her rope, Mirjana let loose a mighty whistle, summoning Miga, a woman with short curly orange hair and a dark-skinned man with crazy purple hair. These two were arbiters, Léonce Lazaar and Arnaud Morrice. Since her teammates often preferred not to move around too much, Mirjana had struck a deal with the arbiters to provide shuttle services to them, which primarily included hauling them off to the venue themselves. This resulted in the Montenegrins being some of the first players to get to the playing hall, and to make things even better, they always left on their own without the need to be carried once their games had concluded. The arbiters didn't mind as Raymond naturally approved of the notion.

The arbiters provided their shuttle service and managed to deliver the 4 lazybones to the top of the 6B tank just as team Bulgaria finished their introductions.

"Thanks for the lift. I can take it from here. But... what about Mirjana?" Ilyana asked.

"Right here," Mirjana growled as she ran up to where she was.

Unlike her teammates, Mirjana was a very active woman. In fact, it was rare to see her relaxing outside of her designated 7 hour sleep cycle. She really did have her hands full, but somehow managed to never get fatigued no matter how much hard work she did each day.

"Team Montenegro's here, but they'll have to go last in terms of introductions. Team Australia, the floor is yours!" D.R. Passant declared.

A beautiful young girl with long purple hair and tattoos littering her shoulders smiled as she stepped forth with her teammates. "Wazzup world! Francie Derring, the queen of dares, is here to take on this blue piss tank!"

"Um, it better not have piss in it," a pink haired girl named Kandi Cotten scowled.

If there is I'm suing," an orange-haired girl name Imogen Cryer sneered.

"Boo, enjoy the fun, no need to stay true to your name and cry if it really is blue piss," a girl with light pink hair named Myrtle Foat snickered.

"And ya egged her on," a blonde-haired girl named Marigold Flower sighed.

Australia's women's team was made up of the Ewetube group Dare Girls, an all-female group of dare attempters and chess players on the side. Miraculously, all members managed to make the team, meaning they now had the chance to show off just how good they truly were at chess.

As for team Sweden, Agneta was present alongside her mother, Swedish grandmaster Petra Cronholm. Helle was also present alongside a girl with curly blonde hair named, Dagmar Bergsten and a girl with straight blonde hair named Agnes Englund.

"Hey, hey, leave it to me. I'll sweep the sleepy heads into a caffeine swamp of blue," Agnes grinned as she did some fist pumps.

"Don't be arrogant. Mirjana is a formidable foe," Petra warned.

"Nah, she's bogged down by four losers," Helle scoffed as the triplets shot her a pout.

"And what's that for?"

"We don't like being mocked. Just because we like to relax our bodies doesn't mean we're inferior," Morfydd pouted.

"We'll see if that's the case. Now put up your dukes," Dagmar snarled.

Once the Montengrins finished introducing themselves, the colors were assigned. Team Australia was Red, team Montenegro was Blue, team Sweden was Yellow, and team Bulgaria was Green.

The game began with team Australia moving their pawn to h4, team Montenegro moving their pawn to d7, team Sweden moving their pawn to h11, and team Bulgaria moving their pawn to l6.The next move appeared to be more pawn pushing with team Australia moving their pawn to h5, and team Montenegro moving their pawn to e7. Team Sweden decided to move a pawn out to g12, while team Bulgaria decided to buck the trend and move their knight to l9.

"Wow, them Bulgarians are tryin' to do somethin'. Guess we keep pushing," Myrtle shrugged as team Australia moved their pawn to h6.

Miku raised an eyebrow and moved the bishop to c8 for team Montenegro, as team Sweden opted to move their pawn to f12.

"Now if I may do the honors, checkmate," Radina smiled as she captured the pawn at i2 with the queen, mating team Australia.

"OH! And team Australia is OUT! Dead last too!" D.R. Passant declared as team Australia stared in bewilderment.

"WHAT THE FUCK!?" Francie fumed as team Montenegro captured the queen at i2 with their bishop.

"Hey, mutually teaming up is chill. Your fault for leaving yourself open," Miku yawned as team Sweden moved their queen to h13.

Despite taking the lead, team Bulgaria was not all smiles. "Why'd you give up our queen?" Donka snarled.

"It got us the mate. Now let's focus," Radina smiled as she moved the pawn to k4 for team Bulgaria.

Next came a moment of peace as queen d5, knight i12, k5, f7, knight j10, knight k7, g7, queen g13, and j4 were all played without much fanfare.

Team Montenegro then moved their pawn to h7, promoting it into a queen, but even then, there wasn't much action. Bishop h13, l9, queen k4, a queen's side castle, then finally bloodshed once more as team Bulgaria captured the queen at k4 with their rook. However, since the queen captured was a promoted pawn, only one point was gained, whereas team Montenegro was able to net themselves 5 points by capturing the rook at k4 with their bishop.

"Um, why'd you throw away a rook?" Donka snarled as team Sweden moved their pawn to i11.

"A queen is a queen. Did you really want it recking havoc? Our hands were tied," Radina frowned as Karina moved her knight to l4 for team Bulgaria.

Team Montenegro then captured the pawn at g2 with their queen, but since Team Australia had already been mated, no points were gained from the capture.

"That was bullshit. Redo this shit," Myrtle fumed as team Sweden moved their bishop to i12.

"Sorry, all's fair in 4-way free-for-all," D.R. Passant shrugged as team Bulgaria moved their pawn to k8.

Next came another era of peace as queen i2, king i13, bishop m8, d4, king i14, a king's side castle, e4, i10, knight j5, f4, queen i11, knight i3, and g5 were all played before team Sweden decided to try and draw some more blood.

"Check," Agnes stated as she moved her knight to l11 for team Sweden.

"Well aren't you feisty. Show her what happens when you pick a fight with the baddest bitches this side of the Balkans," Radina smirked as Yordanka captured the knight at l11 with her 10-pawn for team Bulgaria.

Team Montenegro then moved their pawn to h7, promoting it into a queen, while team Sweden captured the pawn at l11 with their queen, and team Bulgaria captured the bishop at k4 with their knight.

"Ugh, that was 5 points. We should have moved the bishop back," Mirjana frowned as she captured the knight at k4 with her queen for team Montenegro.

"Relax, or actually let us relax-"

"Check. My, you want to relax, then roll over for us," Dagmar sneered as she moved her queen to h7 for team Sweden.

"So true. Guess you idiots can be useful," Donka huffed as she moved her bishop to n7 for team Bulgaria.

All the Montenegrins except for Mirjana let out a yawn.

"I agree with their yawns. This is hardly anything to worry about, especially when I can perform some Mirjana magic," Mirjana smirked as she captured the queen at h7 with her queen for team Montenegro, flabbergasting Dagmar.

"Wow, brilliant play, Dagmar. Note the sarcasm," Helle growled as she moved her knight to g13 for team Sweden.

"Yeah, thanks a lot for ruining our plan with your stupidity!" Donka fumed as Yordanka moved her bishop to m8 for team Bulgaria.

Now it was team Montenegro's turn to go on the attack as they moved their queen to l11. Team Sweden moved their king to j14 as team Bulgaria desperately moved their pawn to l7. Next came queen f6 from team Montenegro, setting up something nasty which neither of the other teams appeared to spot as team Sweden moved their knight to f11, while team Bulgaria moved their bishop to l8. In came queen to k11, but it turned out team Sweden had in fact seen the whole plan.

"Check. Sorry, but nothing personal," Agnes smirked as she captured the bishop at l8 with her bishop for team Sweden.

"IDIOT! Why didn't you see this!?" Donka fumed as she stared down Elitsa.

"M- My apologies, boss," Elitsa trembled as she moved her rook to m9 for team Bulgaria.

However, it was the beginning of the end for team Bulgaria.

"Check," Morfydd mumbled as she captured the pawn at m11 with her queen for team Montenegro.

"Seems it's a truce. Check," Agneta nodded as she captured the rook at m9 with her bishop for team Sweden.

"YOU GOTTA BE SHITTING ME! THIS IS BULLSHIT!" Donka fumed as she moved her king to n9 for team Bulgaria.

"What goes around comes around," Kandi huffed.

"What she said. Checkmate," Ilyana smiled as she captured the bishop at m9 with her queen for team Montenegro, checkmating team Bulgaria.

"Hey! That was our bishop!" Helle fumed as she moved her knight to d10 for team Sweden.

"Oops. Sorry. They say I'm lackluster when it comes to diplomacy, check the records yourself," Ilyana yawned as she moved her queen to i13 for team Montenegro.

"Ilyana, that's not something to be proud of," Mirjana frowned as team Sweden moved their king to k14.

"What's wrong with her making a joke?" Buddug asked as she captured the pawn at j4 with her rook, gaining no points since the pawn belonged to team Bulgaria.

"Well then, let me educate you on the fact that some jokes can be taken seriously, and that serious subject matters shouldn't be joked about. Check," Petra scowled as she captured the pawn at b9 with her knight for team Sweden.

"And I say you need to chill," Ilyana yawned as she moved her king to a6 for team Montenegro.

"Isn't lazing around all your country ever does?" Dagmar scowled as she moved her pawn to j12 for team Sweden.

The triplets began to pout as Ilyana and Mirjana frowned.

"Racist," Miku pouted as she captured the pawn at j12 with her rook for team Montenegro.

"Really overcoming the stereotype with that lazy response," Dagmar sneered as she captured the rook at a11 with her knight for team Sweden.

"Dagmar, you shouldn't joke around like that," Petra frowned.

"Exactly, especially since we're about to give you a whooping. Check!" Mirjana declared as she captured the pawn at k13 with her queen for team Montenegro.

Petra let out a heavy sigh. "It seems this is a team of sleeping giants," she frowned as she captured the queen at k13 with her king, gaining only a single point due to said queen being a promoted pawn.

"So Miku, the honors?"

"Ugh, fine. Checkmate, racist," Miku pouted as she moved her queen to k11 for team Montenegro, checkmating team Sweden and winning the game.

Airhorns blasted out as D.R. Passant took the mic. "We have a winner! First off, last place with no points and all the humiliation, team Australia!"

"RIGGED!" Marigold fumed.

"Third place, team Sweden!"

"What!? We were the second to last team!" Dagmar fumed.

"In free-for-all, points are what matters. And the team with the most at a whopping 74 points, the blue team, TEAM MONTENEGRO!"

"HEY! Are you not even going to mention us!?" Donka fumed.

"Team Montenegro, you all get 50 MILLION WWCF POINTS EACH, AND... 100,000 EUROS!"

"Hmm, not bad. That takes care of the budget, right?" Ilyana yawned.

"I swear, how did you become our country's leader," Mirjana scowled.

"And for the rest of you, don't worry, you're all about to join team BLUE!" D.R. Passant declared.

The trap doors opened and all members of team Australia, Sweden, and Bulgaria were plunged into the blueberry juice before being sucked through the room and spat out into the kiddie pool, sticky and blue.

Of the bunch, Radina took it the best, relishing in her sticky blue state by jiggling her breasts. Donka meanwhile was furious that her hair was ruined.

"If they say I have to shave it all off, your ass is dead, Radina," Donka thought as she angrily stormed away.
